A new study is disproving the claim that Vitamin D can help kids ward off colds.
Vitamin D comes from the sun, some foods and supplements.

Researchers followed more than 700 kids ages one to five.
Some were given a high dose supplement of Vitamin D, while others got the standard dose.
The high dose group did have higher levels of Vitamin D in their blood, but they didn't have fewer colds.
