After 485 days, little Abby and Erin are both ready go back home to North Carolina. The girls spent more than a year at CHOP.

The twins were born at CHOP ten weeks early and conjoined at the top of their heads, which is the least common type of conjoined twins.
Early on they underwent numerous surgeries. Then on June 6, at ten months old, a team of experts successfully separated the girls in an eleven hour procedure.
"It's scary to see the girls who we have become very emotionally attached to on the brink and they came out okay," said Dr. Jesse A. Taylor.
"They're such happy, content little girls for what they have gone through. They've never lived outside hospital walls and they're still happy, not afraid of people it's just amazing to see they're so brave through all of this," said the twins' mom, Heather Riley.

The twins will be back for additional surgeries, but for now the car is packed and they're on their way home for the holidays.
