"As the storm came up the coast, it came up just exactly as high tide was hitting us this morning," Chief Scott Evans of Atlantic City Fire Department said.
Emergency crews blocked flooded streets on Black Horse Pike, while swelling waves in North Wildwood washed away some of the dunes along the shoreline.
Atlantic City Fire Department made a handful of water rescues as a few drivers tried to test the rising waters.
"We were busy this morning. We assisted several people, pulling them out of their cars. We had an elderly lady that was stuck in the water; she probably had 10 inches of water in her vehicle," Chief Evans said.
The Action Cam was there mid-morning Tuesday as water took over at 12th Street and West Avenue in Ocean City.
We saw crews closing off a street, while cars splashed though the flooded roadway.

Flooding was also an issue over in Stone Harbor, where high wind and heavy rain led to water-covered streets, as well.

As the flooding fears subsided, the wind began being the major issue at the shore.
