Macy's to open 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving

A major retailer is planning an early start to Black Friday shopping once again this year.

Macy's will open its doors at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving, according to the website BestBlackFriday.com which tracks retailers' holiday plans.

55 stores staying closed on Thanksgiving

Here are the stores that have announced their plans to open their doors or stay closed on Thanksgiving.

Macy's first opened on Thanksgiving in 2013; the opening time then was 8 p.m.
