Major Robert Buckley hugged his son Noah and wished him a happy 5th birthday, in person.
The Major just returned from a six month deployment in Qatar.
His first stop, Noah's school in Pemberton, Burlington County.
Major Buckley was happy the way it worked out, "Really excited that the timing worked out that I could come home on his actual birthday. We've got a big Disney trip in two weeks so we kept telling him after his birthday I'd be home. So, It just worked out."
After the hugs, dad helped open cupcakes for Noah and his classmates.
Major Buckley also expressed his appreciation for his wife, and other military spouses, who keep their families together while service members are deployed.
