FAIRHILL (WPVI) -- The search is on for the gunman who shot a 50-year-old man outside a home in Philadelphia's Fairhill section.

The victim died Sunday morning at the hospital.

He was shot in the chest and face in the 200 block of East Westmoreland Street, just after 11:30 Saturday night.

"Witnesses said that the male was shot while sitting on a porch," said Philadelphia Police Captain Drew Techner. "When we checked the area of a porch of a residence we found one slug embedded in the wall behind a chair, a wicker chair that the victim was sitting in."

Witnesses say an argument at a bar nearby may have played a role.

So far, no arrests have been made.
