PRINCETON, New Jersey (WPVI) -- Officials announced the body of Princeton University student Misrach Ewunetie, 20, was found on campus Thursday afternoon.

A facilities employee discovered her body near the tennis courts off Faculty Road around 1:00 p.m., according to the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office.

Officials say there were no obvious signs of injury and her death does not appear to be criminal in nature.

Princeton's Vice President of campus life released a statement Thursday, saying: "Misrach's death is an unthinkable tragedy. Our hearts go out to her family, her friends and the many others who knew and loved her."

According to her family, Misrach was last seen around 3:00 a.m. Friday by a roommate in her dorm, after she attended a gathering at Princeton's Terrace eating club.

Her family contacted the university on Sunday after they could not reach her all weekend.

Before her body was found, her brother, Universe Ewunetie, spoke to CNN about his sister and the pain their family feels.

"She's somewhere out there. And she's not with us. And every minute that passes, every second that passes it's more painful than the last one," he said through tears.

Ewunetie's parents live in Ohio, and they say she was always in regular contact with them.

The family grew frustrated as days ticked by, saying they had little communication from investigators.

"The times they have communicated with us it's been just to tell us they're doing things and it takes time. Which we don't have."

An autopsy will be performed to determine a cause of death.

Princeton is planning a gathering to remember Misrach.

Officials said they do not believe that there is any threat to the campus community.
