Before the gates opened, fans started lining up for the concert.
The heat wasn't fazing Pink's fans.
Kelly Costin of Hamilton, New Jersey said, "I love it. There's a nice ocean breeze, feels real good."
One Levittown, Pa. fan said, "Worth sweating, we bought these tickets way back when the first went on sale, we can't wait."
It's easy to spot pink's loyal followers on the beach and boardwalk. The Doylestown native is the big draw on tonight's ticket.
"It's amazing. She does an amazing performance," Nicky of Philadelphia said.

Other fans agree, Pink's performance is so worth it, definitely worth it.
The concert series is part of a multi-million dollar agreement with the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority to host events including concerts in Atlantic City that will draw thirty thousand people or more this summer and next.
Crews began assembling the stage earlier this week.
There are tents for vendors too...
Many hoping for a bump in mid-week sales ... these fans were happy to plunk down for concert tees...
One fan said, "Waiting in line for the merchandise, waiting for the gates to open then we'll be on the beach."

According to Live Nation, local DJ Dee Jay is performing at 6, followed by opening act Dreamcar at 7 p.m. and Pink is expected to take the stage around 8:25 p.m.
