Police officer's home catches fire in Beachwood, Ocean County

BEACHWOOD, N.J. (WPVI) -- A police officer's home in Beachwood, Ocean County went up in flames Saturday.

K-9 Officer Russell Okinsky's home is a total loss.

He is an officer with neighboring Pine Beach Police Department.

His family escaped without incident.

His K9 partner, Keto, and his other dog, Lola, were trapped in the basement, but rescued by responding firefighters.
