Burlington County first aid chief indicted for stealing money from the city

MAPLE SHADE (WPVI) -- A Burlington County first aid chief is in legal hot water for allegedly stealing money from the city.

Chief Joseph Freed III is accused of taking $118,000 from the Maple Shade First Aid squad over seven years.

He was indicted yesterday on theft charges.

Prosecutors say he used ATMs to swipe the funds to pay for personal expenses.
