NJ Transit bus driver stabbed after dispute over dog

CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- A New Jersey Transit bus driver is recovering at the hospital after being stabbed multiple times.

It all unfolded around 9:30 a.m. Friday the intersection of Haddon and Kaighn avenues in Camden.

Police say a person tried to board the bus with a dog.

When the driver explained the dog wasn't allowed on board, the discussion escalated to a dispute.

The suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the driver multiple times in the arm and shoulder.

Police arrived quickly and were able to arrest that suspect.

His name has not been released.
