3-vehicle crash involving deer in Ewing, N.J.

EWING, N.J. (WPVI) -- First responders were on the scene of a three-vehicle crash involving a deer in Ewing.

It happened Monday morning at Wilburtha and River roads.

State police tell Action News a car traveling north on Wilburtha Road hit a deer then veered into the southbound lanes, colliding with two other vehicles.

One person was trapped in one of the vehicles and had to be extricated by firefighters.

At least one person was seriously injured.

Wilburtha Road was shut down in both directions as police continued their investigation.

Motorists were being advised to seek alternate routes.
