Earlier this month, Manchester Police Officer Kyle Rickvalsky pulled his patrol car over to the side of the road with its emergency lights on to investigate an accident.
As Rickvalsky was walking to the back of his cruiser another car sped by, nearly running him over.
He was able to jump out of the way and avoid serious injury.
Police said they would like to remind motorists that making way for emergency responders is the law. They said when you see flashing lights on the side of the road you should slow down, and if it's safe you should move over, away from police, fire crews, paramedics and tow truck drivers.
The driver was pulled over a short time later and issued a violation.
