Police said the 6-year-old boy exited another school bus and was attempting to cross the street behind the bus he exited, when he was struck by a bus heading the opposite direction.
Video submitted by an Action News viewer shows the child conscious and alert on a stretcher, being attended to by medics.

"He was in pain, much pain, because she actually ran his leg over," said witness Kiezie Davis. "I mean you had the blood and everything. The tire went over his leg."
Davis said the boy's shoe was underneath the tire and the bus went square over his leg.
Police were interviewing the driver of the bus to find out what had happened. They have not determined if texting or distracted driving might have been involved.
Officials said the child was taken to Cooper University Hospital with severe injuries. While first listed in critical condition, he has since been upgraded to stable condition.
