Man charged with theft from Toms River, NJ church donation box

TOMS RIVER, N.J. (WPVI) -- A man has been arrested and charged with stealing from a church donation box in Toms River, New Jersey.

22-year-old Vincent Passalacqua, a resident of the Pine Rest Motel on Route 37, is charged with burglary and theft by unlawful taking.

The theft occurred on September 4.

Police say Passalacqua is the man seen on surveillance video from inside the church.

Investigators released that video, and they thanked "citizens who took the time to respond to our request for identification."
