HOWELL, N.J. (WPVI) -- A video from Howell, New Jersey shows a tornado touching down in Monmouth County.

A powerful line of storms brought down trees and power lines and caused damage in several communities across the region early Saturday.

Witnesses took their cell phones out as a funnel cloud bore down on the parking lot of a Home Depot on Route 9.

The National Weather Service confirmed this as an EF-ZERO tornado, the least severe.

There were no reports of injuries, but the storm tossed outdoor plant displays around the parking lot.
