Body found on beach in North Wildwood, N.J.

NORTH WILDWOOD, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police in North Wildwood hope a pair of maroon cotton Polo shorts will help them identify a man whose body washed up on a beach.

Officers made the discovery Sunday at 9 p.m. between 24th and 25th avenues.

The man had a medium/dark complexion and is believed to have been in his early 20s.

He was between 5' 6" and 5' 8" tall, and about 160 pounds.

The man didn't have any tattoos, but did have a 1-inch scar on his left shoulder.

Police say there were no obvious signs of trauma to the body when it was found.
