5 firefighters injured while battling 2-alarm fire in Pitman, New Jersey

PITMAN, N.J. (WPVI) -- Officials are on the scene of a two-alarm fire that started in the basement of a home in Pitman, Gloucester County.

The fire was reported shortly before 1 p.m. Sunday on the unit block of Oak Avenue.

Five firefighters are being treated for injuries after stairs collapsed in the basement.

Firefighters continue to work to put out the flames.
