New York couple sentenced in assault on 17-year-old Sesame Place worker

BUCKS COUNTY, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- A Bronx, New York couple has been sentenced following an assault on a 17-year-old Sesame Place worker in August 2020.

According to the Bucks County District Attorney's Office, Troy McCoy was sentenced to five to 10 years in state prison and Shakerra Bonds was ordered to serve four to 20 months in county jail.

The incident began on August 9, 2020 when Middletown Township police were called to Sesame Place in Langhorne.



Police said their investigation found the 17-year-old Sesame Place staff member was reminding McCoy and Bonds about the Pennsylvania governor's order requiring masks.

Police said the teen was then assaulted by the couple.
