TITUSVILLE, Florida (WPVI) -- Dash cam video shows police in Florida saving a South Jersey man's life Thursday night, moments before his car explodes.

Authorities say 44-year-old Phillip Thistle of Sewell, Gloucester County veered off a main road in his rental SUV and crashed into a concrete barrier.

The Toyota Rav4 rolled several times and caught fire.

Thistle was able to crawl a few feet away before he collapsed.

Responding officers pulled him to safety as the car continued to burn, and then it blew up again.

Thistle is in the hospital with serious injuries.
