FRANKFORD - Tensions are running high in Frankford after a man shot and killed a man and his girlfriend.

It happened last weekend and, as of yet, the shooter has not been charged with any crime.

Tonight, family and friends of Bob DePaul and August Dempsey want answers as to why no charges have been filed against the couple's next door neighbor, who admitted to shooting the couple in the head, killing them both.

Police took the neighbor into custody shortly after the shootings, but later released him.

The neighbor claims, following an argument with the couple, they scaled his fence in their Frankford neighborhood and he shot them in self defense in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 16.

At a vigil held outside the couple's home, and also the shooters, friends put up a sign reading "WARNING: The murderer of Bob and Aug is still free" above the growing memorial of flowers, candles and pictures.

The emotional crowd began chanting "lock him up."

Then Dempsey's sons asked for prayers.

They also asked the crowd to sign a petition asking the District Attorney's Office to file charges.

The District Attorney's Office has yet to respond to whether or not they will file charges in this case.
