"At 10 a.m. Monday, June 27, the New Jersey Forest Fire Service has achieved 100 percent containment of a 315-acre wildfire near Pasadena Road in Brendan T. Byrne State Forest," officials said on Twitter.

The fire began Sunday, a week after a wildfire at Wharton State Forest -- the largest fire in the Garden State in 15 years.
It's abnormal for the typical fire season that lasts from March to May. On average, roughly 7,000 acres of New Jersey's forests are damaged each year.
"Right now we are experiencing some unusually dry weather here in late June and early July, so we have had more fires," said Division Forest Fire Warden Shawn Judy.

Investigators say last week's fire started with an illegal campfire. There is no word yet on what sparked Sunday's flames.
"We're looking forward to some precipitation forecasted Monday; afternoon, but we're not going to believe it's coming until it gets here," Judy said.
No injuries have been reported.
