It happened around 9:23 p.m. on the 2200 block of North 20th Street, near Susquehanna Avenue.
Police were called for the report of a person with a gun.
Officers found the two male victims at the scene.
A 31-year-old man was shot multiple times in the body. Sources told Action News it was at least 12 shots.
He was taken by police to Temple University Hospital where he died a short time later.
The victim was identified as Quintin Jones of Philadelphia.
A man in his mid-20s was shot in the head. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.
No arrests have been made.
The Homicide Detectives Division is continuing to investigate.
