The shooting happened Saturday just before 5:20 p.m. on the 1800 block of W. Oxford Street.
Police say 33-year-old man was shot once in the right side of the chest and once in the right side of the waist.
The victim, whose identity remains unknown, was transported to Temple University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
So far, no weapons have been recovered, police say.
There is no word on any arrests made at this time.
