PGW: No evacuations due to work in Northeast Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- PGW says there have been no evacuations due to work in Northeast Philadelphia.

Initial word from the scene was that 10 families were evacuated due to a gas main break in the 2800 block of Narcissus Road around 1:45 p.m. Thursday.

However, in an update issued a short time later, PGW said that was not the case.

The utility had been called out to assist the water department with repairs.

Chopper 6 was over the scene of a gas main break in Northeast Philadelphia on Thursday.
