Man dies after being struck by 2 vehicles in Northeast Philadelphia

Police say a man in his late 20s was hit at the intersection.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A 20-year-old man has died after he was hit by two cars while crossing the road in Northeast Philadelphia.

It happened around 2:15 a.m. Sunday in the 6800 block of Oxford Avenue near Knorr Street.

Police say a man was hit by the driver of a 2013 white Ford Taurus at the intersection.

The victim was then hit by a second vehicle, a 2019 Dodge Charger, which stopped at the scene.

Police say the driver of the Ford Taurus initially took off but later surrendered to police.

There was no immediate word on if any charges have been filed.



The victim has not been identified.
