The Daily Local News of West Chester reports that a Chester County judge on Monday accepted guilty pleas by Daniel and Caleb Tate to arson and misdemeanor retail theft charges.
Prosecutors said they set off improvised explosive devices on five occasions in rural western Chester County and eastern Lancaster County while home from college in December, imitating stunts they had seen online. Their targets included a mailbox, an Amish phone shed, a produce shed and a well pump shed. No one was injured.
Both brothers apologized, saying they had shamed their families and themselves.
