Fmr. Radnor commissioner Philip Ahr heading to trial on child porn charges

RADNOR TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- The former Radnor Township commissioner charged with child pornography will go to trial.

Phillip Ahr went before a judge in Delaware County on Thursday morning where he waived his preliminary hearing.

He had no comment as he left district court.

The 66-year-old is facing disturbing allegations. He is charged with pornography possession and distribution dating back to 2013, child sexual abuse, and a number of other serious charges.

Radnor Township board chairman faces child porn charges


The grandfather is accused of receiving and sending hundreds of child sexual abuse, pictures some involving infants and toddlers.

Earlier this month Ahr, who was once the president of the Radnor board, resigned as a commissioner.

His next appearance in court is an arraignment set for January 3rd.
