Thief breaks in, steals cigarettes from Bucks County store

Tuesday, June 27, 2017
FALLS TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- A thief in Bucks County wanted just one thing when he broke into a store and it wasn't money.

It happened around 2:10 a.m. Monday at the Puss and Boots Takeout on Trenton Road in Falls Township.

Surveillance video shows a man breaking the glass on the bottom of the door and crawling through.

He goes straight for the Newport cigarettes.

Thirty-five seconds later, he runs out and jumps into a waiting SUV, possibly a Lexus.

"We could tell this wasn't his first rodeo. He knew how to break the door and make the bottom part into a hinge so he could roll in and roll out," Falls Township Police Lt. Henry Ward said.

Police say between the cigarettes and the door, the thief totaled $1,800 in damage.

Anyone with information should contact Falls Township police.
