Penn State pays out additional $16 million in Sandusky settlements

Penn State has revealed it has paid out an additional $16 million in relation to sexual abuse by Jerry Sandusky.

Those additional payments bring the total to more than $100 million. The school previously reported that it had settled with 33 people for $93 million.

Sandusky is serving what is effectively a life term on charges he sexually abused young boys while he was an assistant football coach at Penn State.
