Pa. highway speed restrictions lifted; NJ restrictions continue

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- PennDOT and the Pennsylvania Turnpike have lifted highway speed limit restrictions, but speed restrictions continue on other highways in New Jersey, along with all Delaware River Port Authority bridges.

NEW JERSEY:

There is a 45 mph speed limit in effect for the entire length of the New Jersey Turnpike, from the Delaware Memorial Bridge to the George Washington Bridge.
There is also a 45 mph speed limit for the Garden State Parkway from Asbury Park to the New York state line.

DRPA BRIDGES

There is a 25 mph speed limit on all Delaware River Port Authority bridges.

That includes the Ben Franklin, Walt Whitman, Commodore Barry and Betsy Ross bridges.

The Ben Franklin Bridge pedestrian walkway is closed due to weather conditions.
