Action News viewer Shae Ashe recorded video of arcing electrical wires on Arch and Basin streets in Norristown. The wires were brought down by a large tree hit by strong gusts of winds about 7:30 p.m.

"We were thankful none of the kids were in the building because it's a day care, too. All the kids were gone for the day; they usually play out there during the day. We're thankful none of the kids were out there during that time," Ashe said.
The roadway was shut down, but there were no injuries.
The storm also pummeled Main Street in Norristown.
Shortly thereafter, reports started coming in of the storm's impact across the region.

In the city of Chester, Delaware County, a man had to be rescued at 2nd and Tillman due to flooding that came in suddenly with little warning. He was able to get out of his vehicle on his own, but had to be assisted by fire rescue.
In Horsham, Montgomery County, heavy rains caused flash flooding along Route 611 and County Line Road.
At the intersection of Avondale and Pembrook in West Norriton, winds brought down tree limbs causing minor damage to an SUV parked on the street.
In the 3500 block of Queen Street in East Falls, high winds brought down trees and power lines, shutting down the roadway.
No injuries have been reported.
