Fmr. Pa. teacher gets jail time for explicit Snapchat messages to students

Thursday, November 30, 2017
ALLENTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- A former Pennsylvania high school music teacher accused of sending explicit messages to students via Snapchat was sentenced to three to 23 months in jail.

The (Allentown) Morning Call reports 30-year-old David Borghesani, of Northampton, pleaded guilty to a corruption of minors charge last month and was sentenced Thursday.

Authorities say Whitehall police began an investigation in Oct. 2016 when Whitehall-Coplay School District administrators started receiving complaints about Borghesani.

Police say they discovered Borghesani had sent explicit images to three female students on the visual-messaging app. Investigators say Borghesani sent a video to one girl of him performing a lewd act and nude photos to the others.

Borghesani resigned from Whitehall High School in February.

Two of the victims testified Thursday. They said they've been ostracized because Borghesani was a popular teacher.
