Caretakers at the Pittsburgh Zoo have been watching carefully over the calf's health. The zookeepers say she is "spunky" but has a "long road" ahead. On June 16, the calf received her first bath in a kid-sized pool. Footage taken by her caretakers shows the calf as she plays in the water and enjoys her bath.
The calf, who has yet to be named, won't be on public display for some time, but the zoo promises to post updates and has started a blog for the baby.
