The Cristo Rey High School seniors earned full college scholarships to Penn State by volunteering time on the golf course.
The Philadelphia teenagers spent three summers in Chicago with the Western Golf Association's Caddie Academy.
The Academy provides economically disadvantaged high school girls with a chance to work as a caddie and apply for the WGA's Chick Evans Scholarship.
"It means a lot to me because I knew what college was to me and I wanted to go. It was just something that was really difficult to pay for. Now, with the scholarship, I finally get to do what I've been planning to do for the past four years," Gray-Davis said.
With that, Jade will become one of the first people in her family to go to college.
College firmly in hand, we had to ask the obvious question - is it difficult to caddie?
"Sometimes, but you get through it. We have a lot of fun things to do. We get to meet cool people and talk to them," Coleman said.
The Caddie Academy is a non-profit started in 2012.
"We started off with a small, 12-person program for high school girls and we're happy that this summer, our sixth summer of the program, we will be approximately 90 girls from around the country," Mike Maher of the Western Golf Association said.
The girls learn about finance, marketing, ACT preparation, and nutrition, along with the experience they gain working the links.
