Pedestrian struck in Hunting Park hit and run

HUNTING PARK (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Police continue to investigate a hit and run crash that left a pedestrian in critical condition.

Police say a 23-year-old male was crossing the street near the intersection of H Street and Tioga around 1 a.m. Saturday when he was hit by a car.

The driver of the car sped off, leaving the injured pedestrian in the roadway.

Medics rushed the victim to Temple Hospital where he remains in critical condition.

The only description police have of the striking vehicle is that it's black in color.

Police have not released the man's name.

No word on any arrests.
