Police from the Tri-State area, along with the FBI, are searching for 14-year-old Hannah Jones, who ran away from home last week. Authorities said they fear she could be part of a human trafficking ring.
Jones' mother Roseanne Giovannetti was heartbroken after learning just how close authorities were to finding her daughter.
"Oh my God, I feel like she could be anywhere," said Giovannetti.
A task force looking for the teen tracked her down to South Philadelphia at 7th and Bigler streets.
Officials said they found her in a car with 32-year-old Deven Harley.
It was then, police said, Harley allegedly drove toward two Philadelphia sheriffs deputies, hitting one and knocking him to the ground. They said Hannah ran from the scene.
Hannah's mom said this isn't the first time her daughter has put herself out on the street, but that it is the longest time she has been out of contact with family.
"She has told us in the past she puts herself out there on the streets," said Giovannetti. "I don't think she understands that people are waiting for people like her to get her involved in trafficking."
Hannah was last seen last Sunday outside of her mom's Roebling, Burlington County home.
Her mom has not stopped searching for her and is looking for any and all leads to get a message to her daughter.
"Please come home, Hannah," she said. "We love you and we want you safe. Please reach out to someone."
Harley has been charged with aggravated assault.
