Man sitting on stoop gunned down in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police say a man was brutally gunned down while sitting on the front stoop of a building.

The victim was shot multiple times as he sat near North Fourth Street and Indiana Avenue about 1:30 a.m. Monday in North Philadelphia.

Neighbors found the man and were attempting to take him to the hospital when police arrived.

Officers rushed him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police were working to identify the man, who they said was Hispanic and appeared to be in his 20s.

Police haven't identified or charged any suspects.
