Pedestrian struck by train in University City

UNIVERSITY CITY (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Police are investigating a pedestrian accident on the Market-Frankford Line in University City Wednesday evening.

It happened around 6 p.m. at the 40th Street Station.

Officials say a man was hit by a train at that location.

He was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center with serious injuries.

SEPTA is currently running shuttle buses between 30th Street Station and 52nd Street.
