PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Free Library of Philadelphia was taken over by protesters on Wednesday night.

Demonstrators want Pennsylvania to restore general assistance--the $200-a-month cash payments to the poor.

The money stopped August 1 after a 7-year campaign by Republican lawmakers.

Protestors also want more affordable housing.
