All of the trucks have been loaded with salt and are lined up and ready to go so crews can hit the ground running when they come in at 2 a.m.
Throughout the day, PennDOT crews were loading truck after truck with salt as they prepare to deploy across the five county region.
John Krafczyk of PennDOT said, "We're prepared to deploy 250 trucks, that's our game plan going into this. We'll continue to monitor the forecast through the night as things change and things get worse. We have the ability to bring in another 182 trucks if needed."
Already crews spent the day brining mayor highways and interstates. This is the first line of defense in preventing snowy roadways, but if they have to, they'll bring in the plows.
"The timing of the storm could be beneficial for us because overnight into a Saturday morning, less volume on the roadways, allows our crews to give us some more space," Brad Rudolph of PennDOT said.

Yes folks are getting ready and trying to keep their sense of humor as we prepare for a snowy Saturday.
I'm always amazed because every year I come to the hardware store, there's people buying shovels.
And I found two shoppers who say the same thing. They just couldn't figure out what happens to the shovels year after year.
