Large tree falls, blocks roadway in Pennypack Park

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Heavy rain may have led to a large tree falling in Pennypack Park.

It happened on the 7600 block of Verree Road around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

The tree blocked the northbound side of Verree, inside the park.

Police are blocking the roadway to alert drivers of the danger while awaiting crews to arrive to remove the tree.

There were no injuries reported by the falling tree.
