Phillies prospect J.P. Crawford hits inside the park grand slam

Thursday, July 27, 2017
Well, you don't see this every day.

In Triple-A Lehigh Valley Wednesday night, Phillies top prospect J.P. Crawford was up to bat with the bases loaded and two outs in the fifth inning.

He then went to hit an inside the park grand slam!

The catcher thought he tagged Crawford at the plate, but not so fast.

Crawford was able to beat the tag.

It was the first inside the park home run in Lehigh Valley IronPigs' history. And the first inside the park home run for Crawford.

The IronPigs defeated the Gwinnett Braves 8-2.
