Girl struck by SEPTA bus in Frankford

FRANKFORD (WPVI) -- A young girl was struck by a SEPTA bus Monday afternoon.

It happened around 5 p.m. at Milnor and Orthodox streets.

Officials said a 12-year-old girl was transported to St. Christopher's Hospital after being struck by a route 25 bus.

Witnesses said the girl came in contact with the left front of the bus.

At this time there is no word on how she came in contact with the bus.

Police said the girl is expected to survive and that she suffered a concussion.
