It happened just before 8 p.m. Friday on the 900 block of S. 23rd Street.

Police say an 11-year-old girl was shot one time in the leg. She was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and listed in stable condition.

A 22-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman were also shot. Both were taken to an area hospital and listed in stable condition.

Jim Brown, who lives nearby, says after the gunfire stopped he came outside and was frustrated to hear more innocent victims were shot.
"Why do you have to involve children and other people? That's what's frustrating," said Brown.
Harold Boswell, of the Philadelphia Anti-Gun Anti-Violenece Network, has a message for those who feel like they might want to pick up a gun.
"There's nothing wrong with walking away. You're not considered a scaredy cat if you walk away," said Boswell.
It's still unclear what sparked the gunfire.
No arrests have been made.
