Man shot, critically wounded in Germantown section of Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say a man was shot in the back and ran a short distance before collapsing on a sidewalk in the Germantown section of Philadelphia.

It happened at 5 a.m. Friday in the 5200 block of Greene Street.

Officers arrived on the scene and rushed the 26-year-old victim to an area hospital in critical condition.

Investigators are working to determine who shot the man and why.
