Teen pistol whipped, safes stolen during violent South Philadelphia home invasion

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Two safes were stolen and a 17-year-old girl was pistol-whipped during a home invasion in South Philadelphia.

The violent incident occurred on the 1100 block of South 10th Street around 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Police are looking for three suspects who fled into a waiting car with those safes that contained a large amount of cash and jewelry.

The 17-year-old is being checked out at a nearby hospital.
