Students taste test foods for school lunch

Philadelphia students got to test food items that could potentially be on the school lunch menu as reported during Action News at 6 on December 4, 2018.

SPRING GARDEN (WPVI) -- Hundreds of Philadelphia high school students had to pack their appetites for school Tuesday.

The students took part in an annual food show at the school district's headquarters.

They were tasked with tasting and rating items that are being tested for cafeteria menus.

25 food vendors took part.

This year's options include more vegetarian selections and ethnic cuisine.
