PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Drivers can expect temporary lane closures on I-95 southbound in Philadelphia's Pennsport neighborhood as crews work to replace a cover plate.
PennDot says the cover plate slipped out of place on the elevated highway Wednesday morning, causing debris to fall to the ground on Front Street.

No injuries were reported, but two southbound lanes were briefly closed during the day as crews worked on a temporary fix.
To make the repairs, PennDOT says there will be lane closures on Thursday and Friday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. approximately one mile north of the Walt Whitman Bridge/I-76 Interchange at Tasker Street.
All southbound I-95 lanes will reopen each morning beginning at 5 a.m. through 7 p.m. for the morning and evening commutes.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.
