Water main break causes sinkhole in Cedarbrook

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Approximately 40 customers are still without water service Friday evening after an early morning water main break in the Cedarbrook section of Philadelphia.

The Water Department was called to the 8000 block of Fayette Street shortly before 4 p.m.

That's where an 8-inch main burst and caused a portion of the street to collapse.

The water department hopes to have water service restored by Friday evening.
